Jicky is part of the Heritage Collection of Guerlain.
A collection of iconic fragrances, composed for over a century by 5 generations of Perfumers. Legendary perfumes, profoundly innovative for their time, which make up a unique olfactory library, an incomparable and unequalled treasure, which the House of Guerlain strives to perpetuate.
Why the name of Jicky ? Love Guerlain kept the loving memory of a young girl named Jicky to whom he paid homage with one of his most beautiful olfactory works. A coincidence meant that the diminutive of his nephew, Jacques, was also, Jicky.
Jicky is offered to you in the legendary “inverted heart” bottle. Designed in 1912 by George Chevalier as the quintessence of femininity: a subtle alliance of lines and curves, rounded and harmonious shoulders, a cap chiseled in the shape of an inverted heart.
Oriental Fougère. Contrasting, dynamic, surprising. The spicy notes, which blossom upon contact with the warmth of the oriental facet, play very skillfully with the aromatic and fresh heart of the lemony and lavender notes. At the bottom of this audacious structure, we can distinguish woody and vanilla notes which bring vibration and personality to the fragrance.
In 1889, Aimé Guerlain creates his first masterpiece Jicky. It is immediately described as the "first modern perfume". Complex, it is also the first unisex perfume in perfumery. It marks the beginning of emotional perfumery which no longer tries to copy the scent of flowers but rather tries to awaken emotion.
